We are the only source in Clark county for toiletries much-needed by the homeless community.
The church actively supports and participates in the programs of Springfield’s Interfaith Hospitality Network, a program designed to provide a path out of homelessness for men, women, and their families.
The church maintains a stock of easy-to-prepare food stuffs for the homeless of our neighborhood.
On the last Saturday of every month, the church hosts a cookout for the community. There is no charge. Everyone can sit in a comfortable, safe space and have a nice, hot meal. There are usually some additional things to take with you when you leave, like fruit or boxes of cereal and juice. Times vary by season.
On the third Friday of each month, the church hosts Second Harvest’s Mobile Pantry, a free source of take-home food supplies. Anyone who is a resident of Clark County can receive meat and dairy products, fresh fruit and vegetables, and boxed staples without charge.
We have a standing program of Benevolence that makes regular contributions of money and manpower to community programs designed to aid the homeless.
